Bethsda today announced a new contest to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Fallout, released in (early) October 1997. To honor the occasion we’re having a "Design a Perk" contest where Fallout fans can design a new Perk for Fallout. The winner will have their Perk included in Fallout 3 and win their choice of a PC or Console Grand prize pack.

The PC pack includes their choice of a video card from ATI or NVIDIA, a Logitech keyboard, mouse, and sound system, and a bunch of Fallout 3 schwag including a Vault-Tec lunch box, Vault Boy bobblehead, t-shirt, and decal. The console pack includes an Xbox 360 courtesy of Microsoft and a Logitech sound system, as well as all the Fallout gear.

In addition they will be giving away a bunch of other prizes -- the aforementioned NVIDIA/ATI video cards, Logitech gear, and Fallout 3 stuff -- to the best of the rest of the Perk entries, as well as some prizes to be given away from entries chosen at random.
