If there ever was an animated film that didn’t have a videogame accompaniment, then surely the rapture would be at hand. However, the apocalypse is not yet upon us, as a demo for the game based upon Dreamworks’ upcoming film Kung Fu Panda has just landed on XBLM. In an interesting incentive to get players to check out the demo, those who complete it will receive a cheat code in order to unlock other playable characters in the game’s multiplayer mode. Just a heads up to all those not living in North America, the demo is only available in the United States and Canada.

The full version of the game will feature 13 levels that expand upon the narrative of the film, branching off into other storylines. Players will have to master the fighting skills and styles of other Panda’s gifted in martial arts besides the film’s main character Po, including his master Shifu and the mysterious Kung Fu panda clan, the Furious Five. The Kung Fu Panda videogame is slated for release on June 13, 2008 for all current gen consoles in addition to the PS2, PC and Nintendo DS.
