Today saw some very good news for future purchasers of the PC version of Mass Effect. The PC port of the highly popular space opera game, which will be sent to store shelves all across North America come May 28th, will also carry with it the opportunity for registered members of the Bioware Community to download, without cost, the Bring Down The Sky expansion for Mass Effect. This first ever add on for Bioware’s Mass Effect title will be making the leap from Xbox 360 to PC with PC-friendly alterations in conjunction with the release of the PC version of Mass Effect.

Bring Down The Sky features approximately 90 minutes of game time, a newly composed musical score, and a new adversary in the form of the Batarians, who have taken over a mobile asteroid, which they plan to slam into the human colony of Terra Nova with the result of millions of deaths. Commander Shepard and the crew of the Normandy must intervene to stop this attempt at slaughter. Since its release on the Xbox 360, the Bring Down The Sky expansion has been hailed as an example of “must have” DLC. Its parent game, Mass Effect, has also received numerous accolades, such as Console Game of the Year and Role-Playing Game of the Year.
