According to recent reports; Valve has announced that they will be releasing individually boxed versions of the Orange Box games. This would mean that gamers will soon be able to purchase Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal without having to mess with the entire boxed set.

This should spark some cheering gamers considering most, if not all, of the complaints surrounding Valve’s The Orange Box had to do with a specific title in the set as opposed to the whole set in general. This would then allow gamers to purchase the games that they enjoy from the set, without having to buy the ones they did not like.

So, when can gamers expect to see this happen? Well, it will happen sooner than you think. According to sources the three games are expected to hit shelves on April 9th, which is just over a month away. While pricing has not officially been released by Valve, retailers currently list Half-Life 2 and Team-Fortress 2 at $29.99 with Portal pricing out at $19.99.
