EA has released information today that its recently acquired Pandemic Studios is now working on a title set in the Lord of the Rings universe. There is little other information regarding the shape or form of the new title, but what is known comes from the EA CEO John Riccitiello. Mr. Riccitiello stated that Pandemic’s new Lord of the Rings title is scheduled for shipment to retail stores all across the United States during the 2009 fiscal year which places the possible release date from April 1, 2008 and March 31, 2009.
