Gamers will have plenty of chances to vent some adrenaline this week as action-packed Games for Windows branded titles Crysis from EA Partners and Kane & Lynch: Dead Men from Eidos hit retail shelves. The first game, Crysis, has earned a score of 98/100 from PC Gamer and has been dubbed a “creative and technological marvel” which allows users to slip into a high tech “nano suit” in order to help save the world from a group of aliens with anger management problems. These and the rest of what is to be seen in Crysis will support DirectX 10 that will raise the already high bar that PC gaming has risen to.

For those of you out there who want to give the world saving business a miss for something a good deal more grittier there is Kane and Lynch: Dead Men which puts gamers in the shoes of two death row cons that have escaped to do some very dirty work for their own very distinct reasons. In order to squeeze as much excitement out of the game as humanly possible the Games for Windows version will have online support to allow up to 8 players for both Silver and Gold players. The latter will be able to utilize an improved matchmaking system and online achievements for the multiplayer mode.

As both are proudly bear the Games for Windows labels on their boxes games are promised that their gaming experience will be entirely user friendly. Games for Windows promises easier installation, compatibility with widescreen monitors, 64 bit support and use of Windows Vista’s pre-installed gaming features.
