INTRODUCTION
o---------------------o

Wzup, people? My name is Ice Queen Zero (contributor name: IceQueenZer0) and I
usually write game reviews, I’m gonna get into writing FAQs too. I originally
wanted to debut with a My Word Coach Dictionary FAQ for the Wii and the DS. It
is still in progress but it’s gonna take a while before I complete that. So I
will debut with Folklore for the PS3.

OVERVIEW
o---------------------o

The setting is modern day Europe in Doolin Village, a deserted town at the edge
of a cape. In this land, popular legends still remain about people having en-
counters with the dead. All roads to the village have been closed and even the
fishermen do not approach it, but it is said that there are people who still
live there, barely scraping by...

You play through 7 Chapters. The first 5 chapters are split between Ellen and
Keats then the last two chapters are played together.

Ellen - 22 year old university student with very little memory of her past. All
she knows that her mother disappeared 17 years ago and she receives a supposed
letter from her that tells her to come to Doolin Village.

Keats - 27 year old news reporter who receives a phone call from a woman plea-
ing for help and goes to Doolin to investigate after seeing the lady fall from
the cliff.

BEASTIARY/KARMA RELEASE
o---------------------o

All folks can be absorbed and all of them except the Folklores can be used to
fight on your side. Fufilling certain conditions activates Karma Releases for
each folk which rewards you with an added boosts in the folks’ actions. Below
is a legend of how all folks are listed.

ABSORPTION METHOD
o---------------------o

Each Folk has an ID. It is blue when you hit it and if you do enough damage to
it then it will turn red. This is where you hit the absorption button to link
on to it and yank it out. However, larger folks require a special process in
order to be able to absorb their IDs. The ID is a different color than red at
the beginning then when you reach a certain point, the red bar you may have
noticed on the bottom, gradually turns blue. When it is completely blue, the ID
will stay red and be ready to absorb.

Regular -Absorb it the usual way.
Timing - The ID is green. When it turns red, pull up to fill the bar.
Beat - The ID is blue. Move the SIXAXIS left and right to beat it on the ground
Balance - The ID is yellow, tilt the SIXAXIS to hold it upright.
Stop and Go - The ID is orange, shake the SIXAXIS. Stop when it is white.

SMALL NOTES
o---------------------o

To defeat a folk doesn’t mean to absorb it. You must keep attacking it while
its ID is red. It will eventually die.

Use Items such as Cold Tree Nuts, Green Ores, etc. means that when you have
enough of the item, click on the Karma release condition and agree to give the
Folk this amount of this item.

Some folks are exclusive to Ellen and some are exclusive to Keats. If they are
not exclusive, then some properties are subject to change between the two such
as different Karma Release conditions, elements, and even attacks.

Some Karma Releases are not available unless previous Karma Releases have been
met. The prerequisite Karma Release number is listed in parenthesis.

When the Henky dance, they hold on to one knee and jump on the other foot.
